A series of sponsored photos for Malaysian creator Bella Kuan, for two brands with almost nothing in common visually: Estée Lauder and Guinness.
A sponsored post has two jobs at once. It has to sit naturally in a feed her followers know, and it has to show the product well enough for the brand to sign off. So I shot it as editorial rather than packshot. The product leads the frame, but it’s part of a scene, not cut out on white.
Each brand got its own look. For Estée Lauder, clean, soft light that shows texture and packaging. For Guinness, warmer, darker tones that suit a stout. One series, one face, two looks, each true to its brand.
