Danny Morel's Awaken 2023 LIVE Event Aftermovie

Danny Morel's Awaken is a live event, and live events give you one take. I flew to Austin, Texas with a four-person crew to cover it — I produced the shoot, led the team on location, and cut everything afterwards.

We ran two tracks at once: atmosphere — the room, the energy, the moments between sessions — and sit-down interviews with attendees while the experience was still fresh. Both had to be captured around a schedule that doesn't pause for a camera crew.

The main deliverable was the aftermovie. Alongside it I cut a set of short-form pieces for social, built for the feed rather than trimmed down from the long edit — so the campaign had something to run with for weeks after the event ended.
